Love Jazzmasters, but want something a little bit more unique? We got you covered!

Here's a custom offset in Mystic Purple metallic finish, that was given a proper heavy relic treatment and paired with a gorgeous chunky D-shape maple neck from a 2014 Fender American Vintage Reissue 54 Stratocaster. Full nitro finish on both body and neck makes this feel like a properly old guitar and the finish will continue to age gracefully, developing even more intricate patina.

Custom-made alder body is very resonant and fairly lightweight (total weight of the guitar only clocks in 3.4 kg). Vintage-correct contours hug you when you play and the internal cavities are shielded with conductive paint and grounded to minimize any interference. Gold anodized pickguard and black pickup covers provide stark contrast, Fender used exactly this kind of combination on their very first Jazzmasters all the way back in 1958. Black toggle switch tip, slider switch and knobs from a Fender Supersonic amplifier complete the unique look.

The maple neck has a chunky D-shape and is very comfortable thanks to the rolled-in fretboard edges and gloss nitro lacquer. Original vintage frets have no wear, bone nut is nicely cut, the headstock has that cool vintage-correct "spaghetti" logo applied over the lacquer and the original Kluson "single line" slotted tuners work smoothly.

Electrical-voice is provided by a set of Fender USA Pure Vintage 65 Reissue single-coils with their iconic punchy tone. Wide coils allow for detailed sonic palette and the use of highest grade A500K pots instead of the brighter A1Meg ones helps achieve a mellower response across all switch positions.

Original Jazzmaster wiring was developed by Leo to enchant the jazz players (who ignored the guitar altogether), but the whole rhythm/lead circuit design is a bit of a hit-and-miss. So instead, this guitar has roller pots removed and much more versatile series-parallel wiring installed. Besides those classic Jazzmaster positions (neck, neck+bridge in parallel, bridge) you also get a humbucker-esque 4th sound!

Slider on the upper horn engages both pickups in-series, where both coils essentially act as a spaced humbucker, doubling the output and overdriving any tube amp into sweet heaven. This sound is incredibly balanced thanks to all the twang from the bridge pickup, warmth of the neck and lack of mid scoop, that you usually get in a more traditional "middle" position, where pickups are engaged in parallel. With the slider down and using the 3-way toggle switch you will still get those 3 traditional tones.

If your 3-way toggle is in the neck position and you move the slider switch up - you will get silence. Which means in this configuration your slider switch turns into a killswitch for all those brilliant percussive Tom Morello/Jonny Greenwood style stutter tricks.

For the most usable treble roll off, this time we've used highest quality Orange Drop high-voltage capacitor for that thick and gritty tone when you turn the pot down. Speaking of pots - those solid brass shaft Mojotone A500K pots quickly became our favourites for these kind of custom-builds thanks to their very small tolerances and ultra-even volume and tone roll-off and, of course, the indestructible design that should last for decades.

We started using Hosco Japan vibratos instead of Fender ones only recently, but the quality of the components and the tuning stability of these units is very impressive and consistent. Vibrato works very smoothly and the spring used is very responsive, yet stable, always returning to pitch. Vibrato has a lock function, that helps stay in tune in case of a string break. The original long arm stays in nicely and doesn't flop around.

Traditional Jazzmaster bridges can rattle when those many adjustment screws start getting loose, so we decided to use a classic Mustang bridge instead. Solid barrel saddles provide great stability and proper sustain. No more string slipping across the saddle!

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, body polish, neck deep clean, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.

This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce or UPS courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping available as well!
