Fender Jaguars are undeniably cool! But how many have you seen sporting a Shoreline Gold finish and a matching headstock? Here's a truly rare non-catalogue custom colour Jag with some very useful upgrades.

Built by Fender Japan wizards around 2002, this Jaguar had a exciting gigging life and isn't ashamed to show off all the battlescars. Alder body has a wonderfully deep natural resonance and those classic 1960s body curves. Off-white pickguard gives nice contrast and the chrome plates are still nice and shiny.

All Jaguars (and Mustangs) come with 24-inch neck scale. This makes all those weird chord shapes you love so much a bit easier to reach. Dark rosewood fretboard looks stunning and the vintage-correct 7.25-inch radius makes bar chording a breeze. Original Kluson vintage slotted tuners work well and the nut is nicely cut. The back of the neck has some small dents here and there, but no structural damage.

One issue with the original Jaguar design that keeps bugging alt rock and indie players is how nasal and thin the bridge single-coil can get. Solution is fairly simple: Seymour Duncan Hot Rails! Now you get all the punch and crunch in the bridge position and a mellower darker neck single-coil for contrast.

All wiring on this Jaguar except the two roller pots has been upgraded to USA-specs, with CTS A1MEG solid brass shaft pots in the lead circuit, all new and reliable Switchcraft slider switches. One cool feature of the Jaguar is the so-called "strangle" switch, located next to pickup selectors. This allows to remove a lot of bass from the output, which is particularly useful for all those fuzz and Big Muff aficionados. We've installed a proper 1960s Mullard Mustard capacitor to be responsible for the bass cut. The main control knobs have a Telecaster design and come with some gnarly heavy knurl design for maximum grip.

Original Jaguar bridges were meant for much thicker strings and much mellower jazz players. So in the best tradition of alt rock mods, a tune-o-matic bridge was installed to improve the string stability and overall sustain.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, body polish, neck deep clean, rosewood fretboard lemon oil treatment, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.

This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping available as well!
