Jazz bass has been a true staple and a real thump machine since 1960, following the footsteps of its older brother Precision. Jazz bass was meant to be a more refined and luxurious version of Fender's 4-string, with 2 pickups instead of 1 and a more comfortable slim neck. Over many decades Jazz bass had several reiterations, but the classic design actually changed very little. Sure, you can get a 5-string Jazz bass, some Deluxe models and some models with active electronics, but the true essence of the iconic 1960 Jazz bass remains untouched.

Jazz bass for sale was built in the famous FujiGen factory in Japan in 1993. Original glorious Lake Placid Blue has aged and greened out into what looks more like Ocean Turquoise, with some truly unique sticker "shadows" forming a modernist pattern on the front and back of the body.

Neck has a very nice slim C profile and plays like a dream. Honey amber gloss finish is nice and smooth, Indian rosewood fretboard looks so lush, the nut is nicely cut and the traditional "elephant ears" tuners still work well.

Alder body has some dings here and there, with the biggest located near the output jack on the edge of the body. There's no structural modifications to the inside cavities. Gorgeous tortoiseshell pickguard completes the vintage look.

Classic Fender Japan pickups ensure thump and punch and the original wiring with 2 volumes and 1 tone controls provide a nice sonic palette. Traditional control plate has been upgraded with a custom engraved one.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, body polish, neck deep clean, lemon oil fretboard treatment, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with Ernie Ball 50-105 Nickel-plated steel roundwound strings.
