Beautiful Fender Japan 57 Vintage Reissue Stratocaster for sale at GuitarGarageLondon! Superb Japanese build quality and some really useful upgrades on this guitar! Finished in Leo Fender's favourite colour - Candy Apple Red metallic.
This is a 1957 model, which means that it comes with a D-shape maple neck, which is a bit more conventional and slightly slimmer than a V-shape you would typically find on a 1954 model. Nicely rounded fretboard edges and honey amber gloss finish make this a true pleasure to play.
Neck comes with minimal wear, with only a few bumps on the headstock. Frets are in great shape with no visible wear and the truss-rod is tested and fully operational. Classic small pre-CBS headstock with now iconic "spaghetti" logo looks very sweet. Classic vintage tuners have been upgraded to superior Gotoh locking tuners with the same footprint (no extra holes drilled). These allow for faster string change (no windings needed) and provide sturdier string contact at the post, thus enhancing tuning stability.
Another useful upgrade is the zero fret. You will typically only find these on older archtops and some Gibsons. Zero fret improves intonation on first 5 frets and reduces friction for less tuning issues. Friction is reduced further thanks to the awesome Graphtech saddles, that are made out of graphite and not just help keep tuning stable and drastically reduce string breakage, but also enhance harmonic content and natural resonance. These are simply stunning and when you hear them once, you will want them on all your guitars.
Gorgeous basswood body comes with some bumps and scratches here and there, but no structural damage and no modifications. Factory-original SSS body routing is intact, with no extra holes drilled.
Original pickups sound sublime with their classic alnico V clarity and punch from the bridge pickup. All wiring has been upgraded with USA-spec highest quality parts - Oak 5-way switch, CTS A250K pots and Orange Drop tone capacitor.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, neck deep clean, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment! Restringed with D'addario 10-46 nickel-plated steel strings.
This guitar will be shipped around UK with Parcelforce 24h courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping available as well.

Please note that although we put our heart and soul and also all our knowledge into every single guitar we sell, a setup is a personal preference. However, we try to get the best playability out of every guitar and set them up so you can play both rhythm and lead. We also pull them all apart to clean and check every single component and replace all unreliable parts with new ones, from dodgy pots to the whole wiring, tuners, string trees, nuts and etc. All the work done is described in detail in the listing.
We make sure that every guitar we sell is problem free and take full responsibility for the accuracy of our listing descriptions. All photographs are done by a professional photographer and processed on a calibrated monitor. Some colours might look slightly different on your monitor, but we will always put the official Fender colour name in the listing description, so please study pictures of other guitars with the same colour if you are unsure. We focus on finding great quality guitars and making them reliable and inspiring to play.
