Here is one beautiful and truly classic-looking 62 Vintage reissue Stratocaster.
This guitar used to have a glossy basswood body, like all Fender Japan Stratocasters. Now upgraded with an alder body from a Fender Classic Series, that was professionally refinished in thin old-school nitro-cellulose Fiesta Red. The body is very resonant and the thin layer of finish allows the wood to "breathe". Nitro sunk into the wood grain, revealing beautiful texture and grain. This type of finish is meant to very gracefully age and discolour over the years, this is how Fenders were finished in the "Golden era" of 1950s and 1960. This can also be a perfect basis for a relic project.
Guitar comes in very lovely condition with just a couple of small dings on the body and some surface wear. Neck has a smooth satin-like feel on the back, colourful Indian rosewood fretboard, classic vintage frets with no wear and a nice medium C-shape (not like some 62 reissues with super skinny necks). Amber tint gives maple wood on the back of the neck and the headstock that awesome "depth" effect. Vintage-style Kluson tuners work well and provide stable tuning, even with active tremolo use.
Wiring has all been upgraded to USA-spec CTS A250K pots, Oak 5-way switch and Switchcraft output jack - so this should last for decades. Pickups have a lovely warmer 60s tone, even the bridge pickup gives very nice punch without sounding harsh. Tone 2 has been modified to control both middle and bridge treble response, Orange Drop capacitor has been added for very smooth treble roll off. All mounted on a classic 60s style mint green 3-ply scratchplate, that provides nice contrast to the Fiesta Red. Very Gary Moore!
Tremolo system has a full-size steel tremolo block, bent steel saddles and comes with a tremolo arm. Stable and expressive, currently on 3 spring for nice action. All adjustment screws work flawlessly.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, body polish, neck deep clean, rosewood fretboard lemon oil treatment, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with Fender 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.
This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping provided as well.

Please note that although we put our heart and soul and also all our knowledge into every single guitar we sell, a setup is a personal preference and we cannot give any guarantees. However, we try to get the best playability out of every guitar and set them up so you can play both rhythm and lead. We also pull them all apart to clean and check every single component and replace all unreliable parts with new ones, from dodgy pots to the whole wiring, tuners, string trees, nuts and etc. All the work done is described in detail in the listing.
We make sure that every guitar we sell is problem free and take full responsibility for the accuracy of our listing descriptions. All photographs are done by a professional photographer and processed on a calibrated monitor. Some colours might look slightly different on your monitor, but we will always put the official Fender colour name in the listing description, so please study pictures of other guitars with the same colour if you are unsure. We focus on finding great quality guitars and making them reliable and inspiring to play.
