Here is Fender's true workhorse - the Strat! Any genre, any style of playing - the Strat can do it all, and do it so well, that is has become a true icon in the world of electric guitars. Black finish on a Stratocaster makes it even classier. Did you know that black was only available as a custom order finish back in the 1950s and 1960s?
Guitar for sale had its fair deal of action over the years, so there is plenty of surface wear, scratches and swirls on the body, but no structural damage or modifications. Body has very balanced weight and lovely natural resonance. Body and all electronics come from a 1993 model, neck was made in 1986, but they come from the same Japan Standard model range.
Comfy C-shape neck is a real pleasure to play and has that worn-in satin feel on the back and nicely rolled in fretboard edges. This size and shape will be found very pleasant by the vast majority of Strat enthusiasts. Vintage frets have minimal wear, original Fender Japan tuners work like on the very first day of service thanks to the tension adjustment screws. Nut is nicely cut and the truss-rod works smoothly.
One of the best features of this guitar are those highly coveted Fender Japan flatpole pickups, that sound absolutely wonderful and are becoming quite sought after by Fender enthusiasts thanks to their bell-like tones and the possibility of pushing them up closer to the strings without getting the mid-range screaming, like usually happens with staggered magnets. Vintage output allows for the cleanest and most articulate response and string-to-strings separation.
Tremolo has the classic 6-point vintage design and comes with tapered tremolo block and bent steel saddles. Tremolo backplate is new and has aged cream colour. Saddles have plenty of surface wear, but all intonation and height adjustment screws work well.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, body polish, neck deep clean, rosewood fretboard lemon oil treatment, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.
This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping provided as well.

Please note that although we put our heart and soul and also all our knowledge into every single guitar we sell, a setup is a personal preference and we cannot give any guarantees. However, we try to get the best playability out of every guitar and set them up so you can play both rhythm and lead. We also pull them all apart to clean and check every single component and replace all unreliable parts with new ones, from dodgy pots to the whole wiring, tuners, string trees, nuts and etc. All the work done is described in detail in the listing.
We make sure that every guitar we sell is problem free and take full responsibility for the accuracy of our listing descriptions. All photographs are done by a professional photographer and processed on a calibrated monitor. Some colours might look slightly different on your monitor, but we will always put the official Fender colour name in the listing description, so please study pictures of other guitars with the same colour if you are unsure. We focus on finding great quality guitars and making them reliable and inspiring to play.
