GUITAR DEMO: https://youtu.be/3R4_ltaEdbM
Here is something really special! Iconic Fender Japan 52 Vintage Reissue Telecaster from 1998 transformed into an Esquire with comfy V-shape neck, glorious Tortoiseshell pickguard, Eldred modded wiring, USA spec CTS A250K pots, 1960s Mullard capacitor in the "cocked wah" circuit, Orange Drop capacitor in the Tone circuit, Fender Pat Pend bridge with compensated brass saddles and superb Kluson tuners. Unique and versatile, this guitar is oozing style and character.
Classy Piano black body has beautiful natural resonance, classic SS body routing and balanced weight. Now you can use that empty neck pickup cavity to smuggle your favourite things around. Body has plenty of surface wear and small blemishes and dings here and there from the last 26 years, but no structural damage or mods.
V-shape maple neck boasts vintage-correct 7.25-inch fretboard radius and rolled fretboard edges, that makes it a true pleasure to play. Original Kluson tuners work smoothly and vintage frets have plenty of life left in them. Nut is well cut and the truss-rod is operational, adjusted at the heel.
Lovely tonal palette is provided by a classic twangy Fender Japan Vintage 52 Reissue Telecaster Alnico V pickup, wired to a USA-spec CTS A250K volume and tone pots. Modified "Eldred wiring" provides 3 distinct sounds and is very versatile. "Cocked wah" position 1 sends the signal through a real vintage Mullard Mustard 3300pf capacitor from the 1960s for that classic "darkened" Esquire sound with no extra mud. In this position the Tone control is bypassed.
Position 2 is the classic Tele bridge sound with both Volume and Tone pots active, where smooth treble roll off is provided by Orange Drop 0.01uf capacitor. Position 3 bypasses both Volume and Tone and sends the signal of the pickup straight to the output jack, which means maximum power from the pickup and a nice "lead boost" sound always available at the flick of a switch. The idea with Eldred wiring is to be able to preset your treble in position 2 and use position 1 for darker rhythm sounds and position 3 for lead.
Solid sustain and incredible tuning stability both are achieved thanks to the classic Fender Pat Pend bridge with thick baseplate. Brass saddles add depth and texture to the tone and their compensated design helps a lot with getting the intonation spot on.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, body polish, neck deep clean, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.
