Here's one glorious Fender Japan ’62 Telecaster Reissue, born in 2012 and dressed to kill in a 3-tone sunburst finish with just the right amount of road rash to prove it’s been living, not hiding. Think classic Keef vibes with a bit more refinement — the kind of guitar that looks like it’s been on stage since the Cuban Missile Crisis, but still smells faintly of the 21st century.

Neck’s a comfy C-shape maple with a dark rosewood board, 7.25" radius, and the proper skinny frets. 22.1 mm at the first fret, 24.1 mm at the 12th — so not a baseball bat, not a toothpick either, just right for cowboy chords and bends that won’t kill your fingers. Tuners are the classic slotted Klusons, because who doesn’t like pretending they’re stringing up in 1962?

Body’s alder, unmolested SS routing, with the correct F-stamp plate bolting it all together. Bridge is the “ashtray” Fender design, but with an upgrade: solid brass compensated saddles, because tuning is still vaguely important even when you’re thrashing out open-G riffs.

Electronics? This is where it gets spicy. The stock Japan pickups have been politely escorted out of the building and replaced with a set of Lindy Fralin Tele single-coils — 7k in the neck, 6.6k in the bridge. That’s boutique tone without boutique nonsense.  These pickups are widely considered to be one of the best Telecaster sets ever - there's magic in those coils!

Wiring is still original Japan spec: A250K pots, ceramic cap, 3-way switch. Basically, bulletproof. Weight? 3.7 kg. Enough to give you sustain for days, not enough to give you scoliosis. Condition? Played. Scratches and surface wear here and there, but nothing tragic. No structural nonsense, no drama.

This is the sort of guitar that could headline a pub gig on Friday, record an indie album on Saturday, and still be polite enough to hang quietly on the wall during Sunday roast. Buy it before someone else does and starts telling you how “vintage correct” their Fralins sound over a warm pint.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body cleaning, body polish, neck deep clean, lemon oil fretboard treatment, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.

This guitar will be shipped around UK with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. We also ship to USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and many other places, but at the moment we don't ship to EU or Northern Ireland.

However, we try to get the best playability out of every guitar and set them up so you can play both rhythm and lead.
