Here's a very cool road-worn Fender American Special Telecaster in beautiful Olympic White from the 60th Anniversary series! Built at the Corona factory in California in 2011, this model commemorates 60 years of the Telecaster model. A host of modern features make it easy to play while retaining the iconic looks of Fender's first ever model.
Comfy neck has a nice C-shape with rolled in fretboard edges, bend-friendly 22 medium jumbo frets, non-sticky satin finish, truss-rod adjuster at the headstock and high quality tuners. Coupled with a resonant alder body, this guitar has strong and full-bodied acoustic tone. There is plenty of surface wear all around the body - this guitar definitely had an active stage life. Sticker "shadows" and dings here and there - but no structural damage or modifications of any kind. The only non-original part is the brand new tortoiseshell pickguard, that provides a striking contrast to the Olympic White body.
Original pickups have overwound design, which means more power and more output - any tube amp will be happily overdriven by these single-coils. The tone cleans up really well via the volume knob and the famous "Greasebucket" tone circuit allows you to roll-off the treble without adding any low-end mud to the sound. Just wondeful! All wiring is original and works well, inner-cavities are factory-shielded and grounded to eliminate any interference.
Classic Telecaster "ashtray" bridge design allows for strong strings-to-body coupling and vibration transmission, while the steel saddles add great attack and twang to the tone.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, neck deep clean and full electronics check. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 nickel-plated steel strings.
This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce or UPS couriers, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping provided as well.
