Now here is a really cool Fender Telecaster for sale! Made in 1989 in the famous FujiGen factory in Japan, this guitar has the Iconic look of a "Blackguard" Telecaster, Japan craftsmanship and and a fairly rare top loader bridge.

Despite its age this Tele comes in very nice played condition with a few small dings on the body and back of neck and surface wear here and there. The only part that has been replaced is the black pickguard (originally came with a thin white one). Inner cavities are untouched, there are no nasty modifications.

Lovely basswood body is resonant and not too heavy. C-shape maple neck is a pleasure to play and has nice rolled in fretboard edges and vintage frets with moderate wear. Original Gotoh tuners work well and have tension adjustment screws - so these will never get loose.

Fender Japan single-coil pickups are punchy and twangy and articulate, with a lot of warmth and depth in the neck position, plenty of sizzle in the bridge position and a very balanced middle position with both pickups engaged.

Top loader bridge is equipped with L-shape saddles and provide individual string height and intonation adjustments. Top Loader bridges like these were used briefly in the late 1960s and then resurrected by Fender Japan in the 1980s. Thanks to a leaner string angle at the saddles these bridge provide a slightly "slinkier" feel to the strings and allow for easier bending with thicker gauges.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, neck deep clean and full electronics check. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 nickel-plated steel strings.

This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided to UK customers. Worldwide shipping provided as well.
