Who knows what could have happened if the Space Age arrived a decade earlier... Maybe back in 1952 a Telecaster would have looked just like this custom offset?

We are head over heels in love with this combination of bigger body made of highly resonant swamp ash and a very thin nitrocellulose finish with no nasty glossy lacquer. You strum this guitar - and it is as loud as a big-bodied semi-hollow Gibson, with sustain for days.

Finished in very "stealth" black satin nitrocellulose, this guitar has very pretty ash wood grain and awesome textured satin feel - and no more annoying finger marks or smudges!

The other big benefit is the weight - unlike most ash bodies, this one is actually not that heavy, with the total guitar showing 3,5 kg on the scale, which is very much "middle-of-the-road" for Strats and Teles.

Comfy and unique maple neck comes from a 1985 Fender Japan Contemporary Stratocaster (E5 serial) and has that striking black headstock! Yes, the ones that came with that Floyd Rose-type tremolo and locking nut! Unique features here include 12-inch fretboard radius (like a Gibson) and 22 medium jumbo frets. Truss-rod is conveniently adjusted at the headstock, neck is straight as an arrow and the C-shape is nice and fast. Neck has some minor cosmetic wear on the back, but no structural damage.

Gloss black headstock looks truly unique, upgraded Fender USA sealed tuners work smoothly. In order for this guitar to have the most stable tuning ever it is equipped with a Fender USA LSR nut and roller string trees - so two friction points are now completely eliminated so you can bend as much as you want - the tuning will remain rock solid.

All electrics and wiring are USA spec and come from an American Highway One Telecaster. These pickups were designed to be as versatile as possible, while giving an overwound powerful output, that can drive any amp very well. Warm yet articulate neck pickup, punchy but not nasal bridge pickup and very balanced in-between position provide a wire range of tones. Thanks to the overwound nature of the pickups both volume and tone controls give a very gradual smooth roll-off, opening up new "in-between" tonal variations.

Wiring consists of CTS A250K pots, Oak 3-way switch, Orange Drop capacitor and Electrosocket output cup, that won't keep falling out unlike that classic Tele cup. All mounted on a matt black control plate for increased dramatic effect.

Bridge is a classic Fender "Pat Pend" 3-barrel design, that hasn't aged a bit since its inception in 1950 (70 years ago this year - crazy, right?). Strings-through-body construction provides rock solid sustain and stable tuning. This bridge also comes with a set of brand new brass saddles with compensated design for much better intonation.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, body polish, neck deep clean, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.

This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided for UK customers.

P.S. We currently have a similar Jazzcaster offset in Butterscotch Blonde with a 1986 maple fretboard neck - have a look!
