Have you ever wondered what could have happened if back in 1950 the Telecaster would have taken a different shape? What would the iconic Blackguard be in an alternate reality? Well, here is one option. You can call it "Telemaster".

Stunning brand new Fender USA Performer Telecaster neck on a custom-order lightweight swamp ash body is here complemented by single-ply unique shape beveled edge pickguard, classic Fender Pat Pend bridge with compensated saddles and strings-through-body anchoring.

The two-piece offset body is made of very high quality swamp ash and is quite lightweight for its size. It is very very resonant and makes this guitar quite loud acoustically. Beautiful wood grain and comfortable body curves and belly cut makes this truly spectacular. Body has been grain-filled and finished in thin layer of Tru-Oil. It has a nice smooth gloss finish - but no excessive lacquer or paint or anything else, that restricts the natural wood resonance.

Neck has a very convenient C-shape and a lovely rosewood slab fretboard, with user-friendly 9.5-inch fretboard radius and medium jumbo frets. Satin finish on the back makes this non-sticky. Bi-Flex truss-rod is adjusted at the headstock. Neck is in new condition with no wear.

Electric voice to this unique instrument is given by the Blues Classic Alnico V pickup set, handmade by the modern master of scatter-wound old-school designs - Aleksander Pribora. You can dig deeper with the plectrum - and the pickups react in a very pleasant way, with stunning articulation and string-to-string separation, hardly achievable on a machine-made "perfect" pickup.

The wiring is all USA-spec with a 4-way Oak Grisby switch, CTS USA A250 "dimple" pots, Orange Drop capacitor for a very smooth treble roll off and Switchcraft output jack. Mounted on a chrome control plate and complemented by Fender 50s style dome knobs and matt black pickup selector tip. Flat head screws used throughout is a homage to the original 1950s design.

Pickups provide a broad tonal response in all positions, from dark and full neck, to bright and bitey bridge, to classic clean middle position, where both pickups are engaged in parallel. As a bonus, you also get the 4th sound - both pickups in series, which doubles the output and uses both single-coils like a big spaced humbucker for all those chunky overdriven tones. None of the sounds are dull or muddy, the treble control has a very usable range - this is a very versatile instrument.

Classic Fender "Pat Pend" bridge has got an awesome upgrade: saddles with compensated design. These solve the intonation problem, usually associated with 3-saddle bridges and brass also provides a warmer smoother tone that steel.

Guitar is in near mint condition with just some very minor surface wear on the body and a repaired crack in the pickguard near the bass side of the neck.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, body polish, neck deep clean, rosewood fretboard lemon oil treatment, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with Fender 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.

This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided for UK customers.

P.S. We will be listing another Telemaster in the next few days, that will have an ash body with satin transparent red finish, Fender Japan maple neck with reverse headstock, vintage style Alnico V pickups and the same 4-way wiring. Keep your eyes peeled!
