Here's a very cool and rare Fender Japan Aerodyne Special Edition Telecaster from 2002 - the curviest Tele you'll ever see!
These are very hard to come by and are long out of production. Fender Japan revised the model a couple of years ago, but for some reason decided not to include the P90 pickup or the black finish.
Sleek alder body contour is accentuated by a beautiful cream binding and the absence of the pickguard makes this look like a stealth jet of some classified variety. Ultra-comfy C-shape maple neck has a satin finish on the back, that will never get sticky.
Electric voice is provided by a vintage-output P90 single-coil in the neck position, reminiscent of early 1960s Gibsons and a true Telecaster single-coil in the bridge position for all your twangy lead lines and soaring solos. Activated together, these pickups have a very balanced sonic palette with plenty of warmth from the P90 and a lot of clarity from the bridge pickup.
Modern-design bridge allows for much more precise intonation thanks to individual steel saddles and the thick baseplate provides great sustain and tuning stability.
The guitar comes in well-played condition with plenty of dings around the body (some of them touched-up) and the back of the neck and pick scratches on the top and "buckle rash" on the back, but no structural damage.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, neck deep clean and full electronics check. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 nickel-plated steel strings.
