A vintage worn look and modern specs? Yes, this Telecaster is exactly that!
Born in Corona, California in 2005, this guitar has been upgraded with a 2010 Fender American Deluxe series neck, that comes with very convenient 9.5-14 inch compound fretboard radius, dark pearl dot markers and a cool chrome logo. We oversprayed it with Aztec Gold nitro finish for increased dramatic effect and gave it a worn look of a thousand world tours.
C-shape maple neck has got the back finish partially removed for a velvety non-sticky feel. The nut has been upgraded with a TUSQ frictionless one to enhance tuning stability and the medium jumbo frets have been dressed and recrowned and play exceptionally well now.
The body made from resonant alder, retains it's original HSS internal cavities, that have been shielded and grounded from the factory. Aztec Gold nitro has all the checking and patina, providing dramatic contrast with the original Candy Apple metallic finish. Faded chrome hardware adds to the vintage feel.
Original Fender USA AlNiCo V single-coils sounds lush, providing plenty of balance and character. These react really well with a tube amp and your picking hand - you dig in a bit more - and the Tele responds in a very expressive way. Original wiring includes a No-Load tone pot, which is out of the circuit when at 10, allowing to send all the pickup tone directly to output.
Modern bridge design allows for solid sustain thanks to the thick baseplate and hi-mass steel saddles as well as solves all the intonation issues a traditional 3 saddle "ashtray" Tele bridge usually comes with.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, neck deep clean and full electronics check. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 nickel-plated steel strings.
