It looks like a ‘60s Tele. It plays like a boutique sleeper. And in the 4th position, it’ll knock your amp over.

Straight outta Fender Japan’s factory of wonders, this 2017 Hybrid 60s Telecaster is one of those guitars that makes you double-take and say, “Wait… why is this so good?” Dressed to kill in a Candy Apple Red metallic finish, it’s got vintage looks but an attitude that’s entirely modern.

The maple neck has a comfy C-shape with a satin back finish that’s smoother than a jazz dad’s vinyl collection. It measures a Goldilocks-perfect 21.9 mm at the 1st fret and 23.3 mm at the 12th, with a 42.2 mm synthetic bone nut and a 9.5-inch slab rosewood board that makes bends feel like butter. Frets? Medium jumbos with minimal wear—thankfully, no one’s tried to shred “Eruption” into this one yet.

Gotoh Japan’s Magnum locking tuners bring slick functionality without breaking the vintage illusion—because tuning stability is sexy too. The body’s classic alder with SS routing, weighing in at a very manageable 3.5 kg.

Now, the electronics. This isn’t your average MIJ setup. It’s rocking a set of Fender USA American Vintage '58 single coils—bright, snappy, but with more clarity and warmth than you’d expect from stock Japan pickups. Even better? The upgraded wiring includes CTS USA pots, a tasty Orange Drop cap, cloth wire, and an Oak USA 4-way switch. That means: Position 1: bridge; Position 2: both in parallel; Position 3: neck; Position 4: both pickups in series—hotter, louder, and perfect for melting faces without stepping on a pedal.

The bridge is a classic Fender “Pat Pend” ashtray, complete with brass saddles and through-body stringing for max twang and sustain. All wear is purely cosmetic—a few small dings here and there, but no drama, no stories that end with a soldering iron.

A Tele for players who want vintage style with modern guts.
Looks like 1962. Sounds like 2025. Plays like you’ve owned it for years.

This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, neck deep clean, lemon oil fretboard treatment and full electronics check. Restringed with D'addario 10-46 nickel-plated steel strings.

However, we try to get the best playability out of every guitar and set them up so you can play both rhythm and lead. We make sure that every guitar we sell is problem free and take full responsibility for the accuracy of our listing descriptions. All photographs are done by a professional photographer and processed on a calibrated monitor. Some colours might look slightly different on your monitor, but we will always put the official Fender colour name in the listing description, so please study pictures of other guitars with the same colour if you are unsure.
